The good thing was the maps were apparently downloaded to the hard drive and I went using it, months in a row, without the need of using the phone as a hotspot. Typically I would use the iphone as a hotspot and the MMI did the rest, downloading the maps if necessary. My 2015 TT tdi has the google earth maps overlay activated, since the car had no audi connect/ sim card.įor 2 years it worked perfectly. Looking for some help from the 'software' experts in this forum.
